I’ve gotten really into vegan protein powders recently. Yep, you heard me right. I used to have such a biased view against them, but I thought I’d give it a try after seeing my fellow bloggers use them in recipes. OMG! I tried this vanilla protein powder and it was delicious. Then I tried the chocolate one in my smoothie. I seriously felt like I was drinking a Wendy’s milkshake, but vegan of course and totally dairy-free. Keep reading for the recipe!

Okay, so my brother used to be obsessed with protein shakes in high school. I remember my mom telling me they’re bad for you (she’s a pharmacist) and I think from then on I’ve totally discounted them. But this vegan vanilla protein powder I found has 15 grams of protein in it and no added sugar. And if you like the vanilla one, you’ll go crazy for this chocolate protein powder. It’s low carb, equivalent to 2 servings of veggies, and literally backed by a vegan professional Ironman triathlete, so you know it’s good for you!

You all probably know by now, but I’m obsessed with smoothies. I stopped regularly drinking them for a while, but I found that I ended up craving sugar and processed foods more. When I have a big smoothie to start my day, I’m less tempted to snack and feel full for longer. It definitely helps me stop eating all those sugary processed foods I know are bad from me but just taste so dang good sometimes.

This vegan chocolate protein mylkshake is thick, smooth, and deliciously full of chocolate. This 100% curbed my cravings for a chocolate milkshake! And I had a happy tummy afterwards. Healthy, 3-ingredient vegan chocolate protein mylkshake. Packed with 15 grams of protein, this good-for-you mylkshake is all you need.

Ingredients
  • 4-5 frozen bananas
  • 1 scoop vegan chocolate protein powder
  • 500mL water
Instructions
  1. In a high speed blender, add water and bananas.
  2. Blend on high until smooth.
  3. Add protein powder and blend again until well mixed.
  4. Pour into a big jar and enjoy!
